LOCAL FLAVOURS
Gourmet delights, Greek-style
Where flavour becomes a traditional art
The traditional Greek dining experience often revolves around “mezedes” — a variety of appetizers shared by all at the table, perfectly paired with ouzo, retsina, or beer, with no main course in sight. In small tavernas, you’ll discover authentic island dishes prepared with local ingredients. In the old cellars of the mountain villages, you can taste the same Rhodian wine that once traveled to the shores of the southeastern Mediterranean.
Just a short walk from the hotel, you’ll find traditional Greek tavernas, as well as bars and restaurants offering both international and European cuisine, along with charming cafés.
Pitaroudia
Stew with Vegetables
For the main dishes, it is definitely worth savouring the stew made with vegetables or wild greens (known as vlita) and purslane.
